This plane is designed to cut accurate rebbets and fillisters up to 1 1/2"  (38mm) in width. Two  cutter positions are provided, the forward positions for bull nose work and rear position for normal  rabbeting and fillistering. when used in the rear position the cutter screw is adjusted  and fed into the work with an accurate positive and easy control.
